Lyda Ely, Director
Lyda Ely is an award-winning filmmaker who has worked as a writer, director and producer in the television industry for more than 20 years. She wrote and directed the two-hour documentary “THE AMERICAN WEDDING” for A&E Television, as well as wrote and directed more than 25 hours of programming for “THE TWENTIETH CENTURY WITH MIKE WALLACE” with CBS NEWS PRODUCTIONS for THE HISTORY CHANNEL. Additionally, she helped to create and produce the original segments for CNN’s series CNN HEROES. Other credits include:“DIANA: PRINCESS OF WALES” (CNN); “I REMEMBER: 1968 POLITICS” (CBS PRODUCTIONS) and “CNN 20th ANNIVERSARY – TIANANMEN SQUARE” (CNN). She has produced and directed several BIOGRAPHY hours for A&E, including “SAL MINEO” and “LECH WALESA.”
As founder and principal of Little Goat Productions, Ms. Ely has also produced and directed films for corporate clients including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Miss Porter’s School. “FUNNY BUSINESS – An Inside Look at the Art of Cartooning” (2010) which has been awarded a CINE Golden Eagle for Excellence, marks her independent directorial debut.
Kristen Huntley, Editor
Kristen Huntley is an award-winning editor of documentaries. In 2004, she received an Emmy for her editing of “AMERICAN MASTERS – JUDY GARLAND: BY MYSELF” (2004) for PBS. The television program “MOMENT OF IMPACT: STORIES OF THE PULITZER PRICE PHOTOGRAPHS” (1999) which she edited received an Emmy for Outstanding Historical Programming with Limited Dramatization. She has edited several projects for PBS including “AMERICAN MASTERS: ANNIE LEIBOVITZ: LIFE THOUGH A LENS” (2006) and “WIDE ANGLE: LADIES FIRST” (2004), which also received an Emmy. Most recently, she edited “VAL LEWTON: MAN IN THE SHADOWS” for TURNER CLASSIC MOVIE.
Randolph A. Peek, Editor
Randolph A. Peek is an award-winning editor of documentaries. In 2003, he received a Golden Eagle Award for his editing of “REAL GANGS OF NEW YORK which is on the DVD version of the Martin Scorcese film, “GANGS OF NEW YORK.” He received another Golden Eagle Award for his editing of ” BLEEP-CENSORING HOLLYWOOD” (2006) for AMC and in 2000 he received an ACE & PEABODY AWARD for Producing “NICK NEWS” for Nickelodeon. Mr. Peek has edited over 30 “A&E BIOGRAPHY’S” for the A&E NETWORK. In 2008, he edited “JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF A BLACK HOLE” for the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL. He has also edited for ABC, NBC, MTV, TLC, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, LIFETIME TELEVISION, and COURT TV.
Matt Bockelman, Director of Photography
Matt Bockelman is a cinematographer in New York City whose work has been broadcast on PBS, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, A&E, FOX SPORTS, TRIO, ESPN, and MTV. He has also served as Director of Photography on viral advertising campaigns for corporate clients, BMW and Hershey. Most recently, he served as the producer and cinematographer of the web based documentary series, “Meet the Gardeners” for Madison Square Garden. His current projects include a set of documentary-style promotional campaigns for ESPN’s Professional Bowler’s Association tour, and a documentary about famed theater director, Richard Schechner, and his performance workshop.
